Mod of the Month - July 2009 Rocklander

Rocklander is the second mod this month that builds upon an existing case. MAG has from the looks of things taken what appears to be an NZXT Lexa case and rotated the internals round 90 degrees in a similar arrangement to the Silverstone Raven with the I/O panel and PCI expansion slots at the top of the case.

Modding started quickly and furiously with the guts of the NZXT being removed. MAG also appears to have cut a fan hole in one of the panels too with mesh installed behind.

MAG also fashioned a new front panel for the case with copious amounts of filler with what we think is an LCD display at the top. It's a pretty neat job considering this used the be the base (or the roof) of the case! The aesthetics of the Lexa are also receiving their first coat of primer.

MAG is also a man of few words so we're left guessing as to what this fantastic looking feature will be but it might look good on a side panel! Great use of lighting though so this should be an awesome addition to the case.

The panels have at last received their first coat of paint. Called 'candy gold' we first thought it looked a bit like metallic mustard but on closer inspection it really does look impressive with a deep golden metallic finish. Rocklander should look good enough to eat when it's done.
